Brenda Heine - Artist Statement

Despite having a father who is an accomplished artist, I somehow went most of my life without picking up a pencil or paintbrush. Now, having coming to both art and Canmore rather late in life, I am determined to make the most of them!!

Watercolour is my medium of choice and I am captivated by the way the paint and water move and flow together. While I am in awe of and inspired by the landscape of these mountains, I am currently most drawn to paint the people and creatures I find here. I also dabble in glass mosaic and pottery.
