Brenda Kelly - Artist Statement

Brenda Kelly is an artist living and creating in Cochrane, Alberta. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Art at Queen’s University majoring in painting and printmaking. Today, she brings altered realities to life by combining photography and mixed media into digital collages.

Always looking for ways to stretch her vision, she has also taken on the challenge of working with mosaics. The addition of natural back light adds another dimension to these mini creations of shattered glass on glass.

One of Brenda’s greatest motivations is working with other artists, sharing the journey and collaborating with other creatives to transform words into imagery or imagery into words. She is always intrigued with the synergy of artists and poets combining their talents with the result that 1+1=3 or more.
